In /CMD-Note, delete does not mean gone forever by default.

When you delete a note, it soft-deletes into trash. It leaves the feed right away — no countdown, no ghost still sitting in the list. The note is out of the way. It is not erased yet.

Open /trash when you want it back. Restore puts it in the feed again. When you really mean permanent, that path is explicit: delete one note from trash, or empty the trash — both with a confirm.

We kept the default gentle and the permanent path loud. Mistakes happen. A notes app that pretends they don't is lying about how people actually work.

Local notes stay the source of truth. Sync aligns devices; it is not a backup. Trash is undo and intentional purge — not a cloud vault story.
