How we built this blog
We wanted a place for the long notes — and a way for Social to
We needed a blog that matched how we already work.
The deep write-ups belong on the site, with a stable URL. LinkedIn and X stay short and point here. That hub-and-spoke split is the whole point.
What we did not want: Social filing a GitHub PR every time a paragraph changed. So the hub runs Decap on Netlify. Publish happens in /admin — same browser path we use for the rest of the studio queue. An invite-only Identity login keeps /admin closed to the open internet.
Pages are prerendered. Title, description, and cover image go out as real HTML for search and link previews — not an empty shell waiting on JavaScript. Cover is for the preview card; images and YouTube sit in the body only when the copy needs them.
The first posts were samples so we could see the shape. This one replaces them: the process itself, in plain language.
One job for the hub. No menus we do not need.
